Eye Lid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)
Blepharoplasty is a surgical technique that improves the aesthetic appearance of the eyelids, and in some cases can help improve vision in older people who have a significant excess skin on the eyelid. The main signs of aging that blepharoplasty corrects are the skin excess of the upper eyelids and saggy lids under the lower eyelids. In other cases you can use to create a crease in the upper eyelid in Asian eyes. Blepharoplasty does not remove crow's feet or other wrinkles, or lift sagging eyebrows. This surgery is designed individually for each patient, depending on their particular needs. It can be done in isolation for upper, lower or both eyelids, or in combination with other surgical procedures on the face. Like any cosmetic surgery procedure, blepharoplasty does not stop the aging process, but can, however, diminish the appearance of tiredness or sadness displayed by people with bags in upper or lower eyelids.
This is one of the techniques most requested facial plastic surgery for its simplicity, speed and reliability. There is no minimum age to perform this procedure, and can even be done with local anesthesia without sedation.
