Hair Transplant

Medical science in charge of the treatment of hair problems and their derived structures called “Trichology”. In this discipline, many treatments both medical and cosmetic surgery come together to restock, replenish and regenerate the hair follicle patient suffering alopecia. It is therefore not a single method but several techniques that synergistically manage to produce a desired effect on the patient's hair.

Numerous drugs have been shown useful in treating hair in patients with alopecia. Some medications such as Minoxidil can be applied topically to the scalp in some cases of a certain type of alopecia, called androgenic alopecia, can use a type of drug called Finasteride, which works by blocking the effects of male testosterone on hair follicle. In the treatment of alopecia of eyebrows and eyelashes, we employ other types of products such as derivatives of prostaglandins.

Hair Mesotherapy

Described by Professor Pistor, Mesotherapy involves the infiltration of pharmacologically active substances in a dermal layer to produce a regenerative effect and revascularization. Many substances such as vitamin supplements, growth factors and trace elements can generate an optimal environment for hair follicle regeneration.

Hair Transplant

Hair transplant surgery is one of the finest techniques of facial plastic surgery. The technique begins with the extraction of hair follicles from a donor area which will later be processed for follicular unit extraction. Usually, under general anesthesia or sedation, follicle by follicle insertion is performed in the recipient area. Due to the phenomenon of “dominance”, the hair from a little sensitive to hormonal cause donor site, tends to not fall on the bold bed where it is implanted.

Hair transplant is the most widespread in males over 20 years, where androgenic alopecia begins to be manifest. However, they may also benefit from this procedure those with low hair density in patients with scarring sequelae from accidents or previous surgery.
